Brenda is a clinical social worker with expertise and interest in older adults, chronic illness/disability and bereavement. Brenda is passionate about promoting a positive view on aging and aims to combat stereotypes and ageism. She provides a safe space for older adults and caregivers to be heard and respected. Brenda’s philosophy often incorporates a hybrid approach during the process of counseling older adults and family members integrating education and resources for positive aging support. Her clinical skills include trauma informed care, care management, education, information and referral services specific for older adult clients and families seeking support and consultation. She has facilitated numerous groups and educational speaking engagements for Caregiver Support, Bereavement, and Psycho-educational programs related to aging and chronic illness/disability. She embraces the opportunity to educate clients, families, employers, home care agencies, senior centers and assistive living facilities about the unique needs of older adults.
